Interesting. He wasn’t baptized until 1951!
Nope! No member of the Church could reach him physically in Italy until then, although several tried. But he considered himself a missionary of sorts from his very first contact with the Church. He carried on quite a lively correspondence with several churchmen.
I love the complete faith and trust implied in a foreign description of “Zion, of the city of Salt Lake.”
Also, I can still hear the video: “Vincenzo … you must burn this book.”
Still one of my favorite church films. This is great.
