Christiana Venables Vernon Smith, 89 years 10 months, Salt Lake City. Native of England; immigrated 1863. Baptized 1851; married in Endowment House 1865. Died of “shock following news of grandson’s death” (death of Fewson Clare Smith, 30, of influenza), 5 Feb 1920. Survived by three sons and numerous grandchildren.

(Although Christiana did not die of influenza, I have chosen to include her here as an indirect victim of the pandemic. Her grandson is already included in Who We Lost.)
