As much for archival purposes as anything else, I note these presentations/interviews about the “Who We Lost” project:

When the Mormon History Association had to cancel its meeting in Rochester, MHA turned the conference into a virtual experience. They asked me to record a presentation with narration and images from this project, which they chose to post as the conference’s Devotional session. While the images are playing in a slideshow, I tell how this project came about, some of my methodology, and especially what it means to me to remember these people individually and not as a mass.
MHA members can access the entire conference here. If you aren’t yet a member, you can join for $40 and get access to the entire conference, as well as upcoming issues of the Journal of Mormon History. MHA is a great organization that took a major hit with the cancellation of this conference, so your contribution of becoming a member is especially welcome now.

David Noyce and Peggy Fletcher Stack of the Salt Lake Tribune interviewed me for their Mormonland podcast. Covers some of the same ground – how this came about, and what it means to me – but with different stories and a different focus for a much different audience. You can access it without a Tribune subscription (but subscribe if you can!) here. As a bonus, there’s another showing of that wonderfully lit and framed photo of my library by Francisco Kjolseth. (Am I vain? Maybe, in this case.)
