Orson Sahlberg May, 32, Latter-day Saint of Salt Lake City, was living with his wife and two daughters in Davenport, Iowa in 1918, attending a chiropractic school there. He died of influenza 13 Nov while nursing his sick family; they survived and returned home.

George Benson Parkinson, 20, died of influenza on 31 Oct 1918 in the military training camp at Utah Agricultural College, Logan, Utah. A military escort joined family, local Church leaders, and the Logan Third Ward choir in graveside services.

John Turner Morgan, 46, of Spanish Fork, Utah, was a teacher and school principal at Spanish Fork. He took active part in irrigation, forest reserve, and other civic questions. He died of influenza/pneumonia 14 Nov 1918, leaving a widow, Eleanor, and two sons.

David LeRoy Dean, 29, of Woodruff, Utah, attended BYU, served a mission in the Eastern States, and married in the Salt Lake Temple. Wounded while in France with the Army, David was hospitalized and developed pneumonia, dying 29 Dec 1918.

Hans George Johnson, 39, farmer, bishop of East Garland, Utah, served a mission to Norway 1906-08 and married in the Logan Temple soon after his return. He died of influenza/pneumonia 14 Dec 1918, leaving his wife and 5 children, and was buried at Deweyville, Utah.

Hyrum Wilford Deloney, 31, of Jackson, Wyoming, merchant, banker, former mayor of Jackson, and a faithful member of the Church, died of influenza 29 Dec 1918, survived by wife, Jean, and two small children. He was buried at Jackson.

Grant M. Romney, 26, of Salt Lake City, Utah, attended LDS University, and served a mission in Holland and the Western States. He enlisted in 1917 as radio specialist. Grant died of influenza in France, 12 Oct 1918. His body was returned to Salt Lake City in 1921.

William H. Lofthouse, 24, of Paradise, Utah fought in ten heavy battles without injury, then developed pneumonia. He lingered for three weeks, “patient, brave, with dauntless courage” per his nurses, and died 5 Oct 1918. He was survived by parents and 6 siblings.

Edward Riley Dewey, 35, of Deweyville, Utah. He died of influenza 13 Dec 1918 at Cornish, Utah, survived by his widow and 8 children, and was buried at Deweyville following a graveside service.

Charles Lee Ross Tucker, 25, born at Fairview, Utah, lived at Colonia Dublan, Mexico in his childhood and fled from there during the Revolution. He enlisted while a music student in Los Angeles. Charles died of influenza/pneumonia in France, 31 Oct 1918.

James Wallace Wilson, 24, of Salt Lake City, Utah, enlisted 19 Jun 1917 and sailed for France a year later. He saw action at Chateau Thierry and elsewhere, but died of pneumonia at Coblenz, Germany 20 Feb 1919. He was survived by his widowed mother and 5 siblings.
