When sixteen years old I joined the Methodists. In vain I tried the mourner’s bench to get the conversion they taught. It was not for me, and I feared I had committed the unpardonable sin. But I read the life of Brigham Young, and felt so impressed that I continued to investigate and on October 7, 1895, was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The moment I was confirmed I had a feeling of great happiness. I know that Jesus is the Savior and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. – Lulu McNeil, Miss.
