This is a reminder of what to do if you’re ever blocked from Keepa.
Keepa was hacked a couple of weeks ago. My security monitor recognized what was going on and replaced the damaged files, and I upped the security factor. Whenever I do that, it seems to catch regular Keepa’ninnies in its trap.
If you try to visit Keepa and you reach a screen that says you have been locked out, maybe identifying the problem as “Advanced Blocking in Effect” (other messages might appear, too), then the security monitor thinks you are a spammer or hacker, for whatever reason. If you’ll let me know, I’ll tell you that I need your IP, and suggest that you Google WHATS MY IP and send the resulting number to me.
You won’t be able to find this if you’re locked out, of course. Remember to try the usual social media routes to finding somebody. Google me by name and you’ll probably find something with my email address (AEParshall@aol.com). Or post on a note on Keepa’s Facebook page, or send me a direct message on Facebook. Or tweet @Keepapitchinin. Or even contact a permablogger at one of the other LDS blogs — they’ll probably be courteous enough to send you my address, or forward your message to me. Let’s stay in touch!
Interesting. I’ve been having problems accessing from work, but I assumed it was just our overly zealous government security.
Don’t worry about unblocking my work IP. I’ll just do work at work and read blogs at home. 🙂
But I’ll be glad to unblock your work IP … *temptation* …
Posted this today because a Keepa’ninny let me know her IP was blocked. Once the IP information was sent to me, it really did take only a moment to let her in again.
Thanks as ever for your hard work!
