That my young friends was a big deal in its time. Six-tenths of a second delay would have you calling your Internet provider complaining. I remember those satellite broadcasts. It seemed like a miracle to my young mind. It was not always perfect but really neat.
I remember it as well. It was looked upon as a miracle that the Prophet’s words could go out to the world near-instantly. I wonder what President McKay would think of the church’s use of the internet.
I have more than 6/10 of a second delay between conference in the two rooms in our house where we listen. I think they were doing better back then.
