At the Pulpit: Online, and with Recordings

The Church Historian’s Press is announcing that one of the best books of recent memory – At the Pulpit: 185 Years of Discourses by Latter-day Saint Women — is now available online, at no cost.

Beginning tomorrow (Friday), At the Pulpit will also appear in the LDS Gospel Library app (Church History section).

Audio recordings of 22 of the discourses (some were given before capturing Mormon meetings as audio recordings was common, of course) will also be available, although it is unclear to me from the announcement whether those recordings will be available at the online link or only in Gospel Library. I’ll correct this post when I better understand.

Later this summer, Spanish and Portuguese translations of the text will be posted.

We talk about listening to the voices of women. Now we really can.

  1. Wow! Hurrah! Hooray! Wonderful! Marvelous! Great! Thanks for spreading the word, Ardis. This is good news, indeed.

  2. Hey! I spent good money buying that book for my wife! Well, at least I can read it now; she never left it out for me to read . . .
