Emancipated
By Addie S. Pace
Rejoice, O Woman!
The day of thy thraldom is past,
As man in God’s image created
Gifts equal – conceded at last.
O Woman, beware!
Stain not thy hand with the touch
Of aught that detracts from thy mission
Of motherhood; – God, too, gave thee such.

Is anyone else reminded of Carol Lynn Pearson’s book ‘The Flight and the Nest’ from the 1970’s?
