Some 43 hours ago, without any warning to me, Keepa’s hosting company performed an “upgrade” that took Keepa offline (the IP address was changed). Their form email said it would take “up to 24 hours” for Keepa to come back; when I called the company, an exceeding condescending tech support guy said it would take “up to 48 hours, but probably not that long.” I tried to be patient, but when Keepa was down so much beyond 24 hours, I called again this morning. The new tech said, “Just a second, let me check something.” Less than two minutes later, he was back on the phone and said “You’re online now; just refresh your screen.”
You’d better believe I’m looking forward to responding to the expected customer satisfaction survey.
Anyway, it’s good to be back. I’m sorry for disappearing like that, but beyond posting a notice on Keepa’s Facebook page, there was really no way for me to tell you what was happening.
Hooray! Merry Christmas, everyone! 🙂
I hope you’ll remember his name so that you can ask for him the next time.
Oh,good.
What something doesn’t work, I always assume it’s because of me … So I’m very relieved to find out that keepa’s momentary disappearance wasn’t my fault … 🙂
Whew! I was getting worried.
It’s back! Hooray!
