“There are people who think they should understand all the mysteries of the kingdom of God in a moment and because they do not understand them they cast them aside as untrue. They are perfectly willing to have people with other opinions as long as they themselves can be the umpire. You cannot know it all in a few moments, and if there is anything you do not understand, lay it aside for a while. It will keep and you will be the wiser to learn when next you take down the question.
“We once met a woman who did not join the church for a long time because she did not believe in patriarchal blessings. She worried over this question day after day and she had long been converted to the other principles, but to this one question she could not reconcile herself.
“Some people worry over the question as to what will become of the sons of perdition; what will be their fate and if they will ever come out of the punishment that will be inflicted upon them. Others concern themselves as to who will enter the celestial glory of God.
“So we might go on and enumerate for a long time and then not exhaust our subject, but the object of this paper was to point out a better way than worry, and that is to WAIT.”
