High School Freshman

Oh, what a change in Junior!
Last week he did not care
If he had a rip up the back of his shirt,
And he seldom combed his hair
He spent his time with his model planes
And his ancient stripped-down car,
But tonight he pleads for the family Ford,
And he’s groomed like a cinema star.
His favorite sport was basketball;
Now he wants to dance and whirl.
No doubt you’ve guessed the mystery –
Our Junior has a girl!
