Keeping up with the Calculus and Physics is hard. I should just “read up!”
This makes me want to go to Deseret Book, tell them I want to be able to discuss things intelligently with school children, and ask them to suggest some good books on the subject of calculus. Think they have any?
I’m also trying to decide if “Sonth Temple” is because manual typesetting is hard with everything upside down and backward, or because the “n” and “u” are right next to each other on a Linotype keyboard.
When a child dives deep it can be really hard to keep up. My eldest son at twelve is studying linguistics and is now tossing around concepts far enough beyond Grimm’s law that I don’t recognize the material even in broad. I just would not have time to read it fast enough.
Finding the books has never been my problem. Finding the time is another matter.
