Cinquain

Cinquain

By Afton G. Peterson

The sun
Is gone but leaves
Her mauve and rose delight
To linger through the darkness of
The night.

Thus lives
Spent gloriously
Leave, when they fleet away,
A pattern rare for man to trace
Each day.
