A Prayer

A Prayer

By Dorothy Davenport

“Thy will, O God, not mine be done.”
The hardest words that human tongue
In true humility can say.
O Father, give me strength, this day,
That I may wish thy will to do,
That I may answer unto you
In true humility of tongue:
“Thy will, O God, not mine, be done.”
