Book Giveaway: 8 — UPDATED with winner’s name

We’re still waiting for last week’s winner to claim his prize — if I don’t hear from that winner soon, I’ll write to him directly, but in general I think it might be more fun to discover your name here on your own.

In the meantime, we’ll start this week’s drawing. You know how it works: Comment on a post between now and Thursday night, and your name goes into the bucket. I’ll draw a winner and update this post with that winner’s name. C’mon — help me get this stack of duplicates out of this overcrowded corner.

Here’s what is available to choose from when your name is drawn (an overstruck entry means an earlier winner claimed that book). When Mex identifies which book he wants, that will be marked on this list.

UPDATE: And the winner is … Matt (I know his surname; Matt commented on the short story “My Pal Joey”). No picture of the winning slip drawn from the bowl, because I shattered my iPad screen.

Matt, please comment here and tell us which book you choose. If I don’t hear from you in the next few days, I’ll write directly to you. (I’ve written to Mex Davis, winner of our last drawing, but haven’t gotten a response yet.)

  1. Wow, a lot of great ones on this list. And I can see why the ones that are already picked are gone. Excellent books.

  2. This is still a very impressive list – even including the many impressive books that have already been claimed. I hope someday to have a library half this quality…

  3. Hey, I took a couple of weeks off, and see what happened! When I was catching up I skipped this post. Go figure. I’ll look over the list and get back to you soon!
