A number of Church leaders participated in the dedication of the Swiss Temple in 1955. While they were in Europe, they toured the missions and met with members.
One couple, at least, returned to the U.S. aboard the Queen Elizabeth – first class – at the end of September, 1955. Can you spot some familiar names on the passenger manifest?

I spot Kimballs. Is the number in the 3rd column amount of luggage?
My parents used to travel to the Swiss temple. The trip took several days. When I was young, there was temple closer, the trip took only one night to each direction. Now we have a temple at the distance of half hour’s bus drive. It doesn’t feel like a sacrifice to go to the temple anymore.
Yes — the number of pieces of baggage. I suspect the Kimballs were bringing back mission records or other books and papers — can’t really see them traveling with that much clothing, can you?
