You want to be serious here? I just confirmed in the social science literature an old memory that Maori culture has startlingly high rates of domestic violence. I don’t know how the artist meant this picture, but intimate partner violence is a major problem for New Zealand, even in our “more enlightened times.”
So perhaps it’s not just the dress (or lack thereof) that makes this inappropriate for a children’s magazine.
