  1. For the search engines (although I’m not sure the poem deserves it!):

Ho! For the good, for the pleasant old eventide,
After a day of play, flustered and gay–
Oh! What a joy to glide down by fireside
Sit there and read by the lights kindly ray.

Often our books give us thoughts most instructive,
Teach us some games, and how to make toys,
Games that are quiet, and games not destructive,
Cutouts and puzzles that anyone enjoys.

All of us help, and all have a gay time,
It certainly is glorious when everything is said–
The way we enjoy it, it’s better than the daytime,
Let’s all keep a-playing till it’s time to go to bed.
