I don’t know which Salt Lake City ward issued this invitation, but I love ephemera like this …it’s a post card/invitation mailed to ward members.

The bear looks as if he’s eaten something that’s disagreed with him…which wouldn’t have encouraged me to attend an activity!
Maybe that’s why the card is printed in that puke green, Alison.

How does the frolic of a gay ninetie differ from anyone else’s frolic? Like perhaps the frolic of a straight ninetie? A gay seventie? Did anyone ordain a gay seventie back in the forties? Are the nineties the only people who frolic? Maybe a gay ninetie is like a gay bowtie? But how does a necktie frolic? Perhaps the frolic only occurs if the ninetie is feeling particularly gay? So many questions…
I am awed (odd?) by your in-depth analysis of the issues involved with this simple card,, Left Field. Well done.
Hence, the nickname.
