    My first experience with ceremonial clothing was at the viewing prior to my grandfather’s funeral. I was really mystified and why the plain-spoken rancher/farmer was dressed in a weird white robe.

    Since then, I’ve wondered why we treat the vestments with such secrecy normally, yet display them openly (for not only non-endowed, but also non-members of all persuasions) at funerals. Still haven’t found an answer to that one. Weird.
