Guest Post: Utah State History Conference, September 20-23, 2012

The 60th annual conference of the Utah State Historical Society will take place September 20-23. You can read the full program here. Be sure to pay close attention to times and especially locations as events take place in several different places over the course of the conference.

Keepa’s own Ardis Parshall will present on Saturday. Her lecture is entitled, “The 1909 Grand Army of the Republic Reunion in Utah.” It’s worth noting that several speakers are also contributors to Ken Alford’s recent collection of essays Civil War Saints which was previously featured here

Finally, it is encouraging to find several panels and presentations geared toward Native American, Chinese, and Danish history in Utah.

Wish I could go!

  1. It looks like an excellent conference, GAR and Danes and all. Thanks for the write-up, Jared. Perhaps one of these years it will become standard practice to webcast conferences like this for those of us who live too far away to attend.
