That Minidoka father and sons snowball fight is almost certanly taking place on Pomerelle Mountain, Southeast of Burley. The mountain is over 9,000 feet high, the highest point for quite a distance in any direction, and does support snow into the late summer months on the more shaded slopes. Looks like fun.
The father and sons outing at the Grandaddy Lakes would have been quite a journey to get there in those days. This was probably not a weekend trip, if I recall my Uintah Mountains geography at all correctly.
I love the stout picnic bench in the grandaddy lake pic. That outing may have been one of the 3-to-10 day wonders since this picture only predates the program by a year.
I love the picture of the campout at Graddaddy lake. Many fond memories.
